Most commercial programs (the ones you see on TV) are designed for a person to keep coming back day after day, month after month and year after year. They only really seem to work if you go for life and spend THOUSANDS of dollars. Then you have the "quick fix" programs where most have a very restricted calorie intake and you are promised to lose all you want to lose by taking the tons of supplements, the MAGIC pills and shakes. Don't get me wrong, most do lose weight but at what costs to your health?
Here are the risks of the above programs:
- Muscle and water loss
- Carb sensitivity
- Not sustainable
- Limited variety
- Regain weight back and usually more
- Unhealthy calorie restricted diet
